Baan Suan Rim Ping at Chiang Mai

Ban Suan is one of the most beautiful restaurants I have been to in Chiang Mai. The restaurant is located right on the Ping River outside the main part of town.  It was designed by an an award- winning architect.  There is a wide choice of traditional and fusion Thai cuisine on the menu along with an excellent list of international wines. I highly recommend the Soft Shell Crab Curry and Thai Green Curry. The rice is serve in delightful banana leaf cones. We tried all the deserts, including Mango with Sticky Rice because we couldn’t make up our minds! All were superb!!!

Before and after our meal, we enjoyed exploring the tastefully decorated private function rooms and houses within the compound. Below is a sample of what to expect! (double click photos to enlarge).
